Astralagus is also known as the Chinese herb Huang Qi. It is the roots of this plant that are used as an herbal remedy.

Catuaba

Common Use : The historic traditional use of this herbal tonic is legendary. Many say it is the most famous of all the Brazilian aphrodisiac plants. It is a strong tonic and nervous system fortifier. It is known for its general capability of giving strength and relieving fatigue. The effect is pronounced in men, especially as a libido enlivener. Many songs praising its wonders have been sung by the Brazilian Indians. Epimedium Herb

Ginseng Blend (Siberian, American & Korean)

This perennial herb is from the SENTICOSUS family. Ginseng grows to a foot and a half high, and has yellow flowers and red fruit. The Ginseng root contains vitamins B1, B2, Biotin, B3, B5, A, E, rutin and the minerals calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, silicon, potassium, manganese, magnesium, sulfur, tin and germanium. Germanium, as an oxide, stimulates the formation of red blood cells. There is Chinese or Korean (RED) Ginseng and American (WHITE) Ginseng. The American Ginseng is not considered to be as potent as Chinese Ginseng. The Korean version of Ginseng has the greatest amount of germanium. Ginseng has saponins, which is stimulate healing of wounds, and stimulates white blood cell lymphocytes. Ginseng also has complex polysaccharides, eleutherosides and works as an adaptogen in the human body.

History : Ginseng has been used for more than 1000 years in the Far East, most notably in China. Many Native American tribes have used American Ginseng for hundreds of years to help with sexual problems, and also gastrointestinal problems. It has been called the "King of all Herbs"! It was used as a medicinal herb, as well as an Aphrodisiac. Almost all the Ginseng grown for the world today is grown in Marathon County, Wisconsin. A large quantity is then exported to China. Licorice can inhibit the growth of harmful viruses, and is also used to treat Addison Disease, hypoglycemia and rheumatoid arthritis. It's high content of sugar means that diabetics should be careful with its use. It is an excellent herb for hypoglycemics, HIV patients, fibromyalgia and peptic ulcer sufferers. It does increase blood pressure, so people suffering from Hypertension or Kidney problems should avoid this herb. For the same reason, women should also avoid this herb during pregnancy.

Maca

Common Use : Peruvian Maca root, or Amazon Ginseng as it is sometimes referred to, is a vegetable root or tuber, related to the potato and the Mexican Wild Yam. Maca root has been used by the native Peruvians since before the time of the Incas for both its nutritional and medicinal properties. It contains significant amounts of amino acids, complex carbohydrates, vitamins B1, B2, B12, C and E and minerals, including calcium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and iron. This herb has been traditionally used to increase energy, vitality, stamina and endurance in athletes, promote mental clarity, as an aphrodisiac for both men and women, for male impotence, menstrual irregularities and female hormone imbalances, including menopause. Muira Pauma Extract
